Workshop programme by alKamie

We see education, in all its forms, as guiding people through a process of discovery to realising new understandings. As experienced educators in the creative arts, with backgrounds in technology and science and years of experience of creation and research, Brian Curson and Robyn Stuart take students on a creative journey into the world of their Virtual Reality Theatre.

alKamie's past includes giving lecture demonstrations and workshops at universities and art schools as well as presenting their work internationally. Below is a summary of our current workshops designed for 6th form to university students. If you would like us to give presentations, lecture demonstrations or run a workshop at your institution please contact us.

Workshops available are:
  • "An Introduction to Exploring Virtual Scenery"
A one-day whirlwind, experiential journey in performing in, directing and controlling ‘Virtual Reality Theatre’ environments.

  • "Creating with Virtual Scenery"
This 3-day workshop in which students devise their own ‘work-in-progress’ virtual reality theatre performance.

  • "Devising Performances with Virtual Scenery"
A 5-day workshop providing students with an in-depth experience of creating and designing their own ‘virtual reality theatre’ performance. Students can bring their own material to incorporate into their final piece. read more...

As we carry all the equipment with us the technical requirements to host these workshops are minimal.
