Brian Curson

Having a broad range of body knowledge founded on 20 years practice of martial arts and Dance Brian is more than the average teacher and instructor. He has applied the movement principles from Tai Chi and Pilates and other movement and body disciplings to teach a range of classes and to a to treat wide range of complaints.

Brian's treatments specialises in acute conditions such as stokes, PML, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Parkinson’s disease and has achieved results that had eluded mainstream medicine. Using the Taoist ideas of Ying and Yang to inform his work. He creates specialised programmes of exercise for each person designed to restore balance to their body. He believes that who ever we are and however old we are we can always develop, learn and grow.

In Dance Brian trained at the Rambert School after being introduced to movement and dance through martial arts and the expressive dance of Gabrielle Roth. As a professional dancer he has performed and created internationally. Brian has taught dance and movement for over 10 years to people ranging from professional to disabled at institutions ranging from university, adult education colleges, private studios and clinics. Through his in-depth knowledge of a wide variety of body awareness techniques and teaching methods Brian has created a way of unlocking the body's innate ability to dance while challenging it to become fitter; DanceFusion.

"I have known Brian for about five years. ... Then as a result of a rare neuro virus, I developed left sided weakness, rather like a stroke. ... Brian was the only bodyworker willing to take on the challenge and with a personalised progressive programme 18 months later I am able to walk for up to one hour. - RB, 33-year-old long-term AIDS survivor
